New card design and some news!

I havn't had a lot of time lately to do any card making but i had to find time to make this for my dads birthday as i am going away on holiday and wanted to make him something special.

The idea for this was originally just doing him a card with some sort of D.I.Y on with tools and such, then i got the idea from something my brother said calling dad D.I.Y Dave. This made me think to do the letters of his name with the tools. then just adding the last touch with some paper that looked like slats of wood behind. Turned out pretty well i think, and i hope he likes it.

Printed the letters on photopaper so they would stand out stronger. unfortunatly taking the photo of the card the paper caused a flash.

NEWS: I would just like to add to my post that my stamp designs for Spiral Whisper are now being uploaded onto there website and will be available to order from the 11th of August.

This is a card i made for my dad using up some little bits and pieces i had in my craft collection.
Its a good thing he loves gardening lol

Again this was just an idea i messed around with one of my fantasy drawings and layering them up on some real perdy basic grey papers.

Just A Machine

I found some basic grey papers i really liked and was inspired to use this drawing id done a while back of a girl with mechanical wings i think it turned out really well. I gave this to a friend for her birthday and she loved it
Another 30 seconds to mars Card

This was just a bit of fun in between projects I know it isnt that exciting hee-hee.

Just used up left over bits and pieces

Some Of My Card Examples

These are some of my previous card examples.
These have been made for friends and family in the past.
























These two cards are ones I made with the theme of music and the band 30 seconds to mars.

To make this card I gathered together lots of little bits and peices which were in a punky, rock style and added the bands symbols and the silloette of the bands singer Jared Leto.
























This is an idea for a smaller card.

I had some card with lines on so I also added some song lyrics behind as a background.
For this one its pretty much the same design idea as the first card just added some more doodles.

Its hard to tell on the photographs but the silloettes and the skulls and lil bits are all raised up with sticky foam pads.

























The Number 23

This is one of the first cards i made, Id done the artwork for a website and was just made this out of curiousity to see what it would look like.

I was very pleased with how this turned out and i think would make a very interesting card for a fan.

Again the character and the test is raised with little sticky pads.

























Be My Valentine Jared Leto

Im a huge fan of 30 seconds to mars and Jared Leto so this is a little card i made for valentines day using my cartoon of him.

Im very pleased with how this turned out, and i think it looks really nice as a card.

Again with this you cant see the full detail of this because of my camera.

























Happy Easter

This is a card I made for my nan for easter since I didnt buy her and easter egg hee-hee.

This is one of my favourite cards i have made, I had the idea for the easter bunny then i created the background in photoshop and added the last little touches with some easter peel offs i bought.

Merry Christmas

This is only one of the dozens of versions of christmas cards i made last year for my work colages, family and friends.

This is my favourite out of all my christmas Designs

I plan to post the other designs later on.

Happy Birthday

This is a card i made for my friends birthday last year, It was my first atempt at a card for my friend an im so pleased she liked it.

I based this on her likes for cute animals so i drew her a pic of a cat with huge eyes hee-hee.

All cartoons are drawn by me using Adobe Illustrator and photoshop.
